Uruguay's Institute of Meteorology (Inumet) has issued a weather forecast for Saturday, June 6, 2026, predicting a day of unstable conditions across the country. Temperatures are expected to range from a low of 9°C in the northeast to a high of 23°C in the northwest.

The northwestern region will likely experience cloudy to overcast skies throughout the day, accompanied by fog and mist. The afternoon and evening are expected to bring abundant cloud cover, persistent fog, and the possibility of rain and thunderstorms. In contrast, the northeast will see cloudy and overcast skies in the morning with periods of clearer skies, fog, and light rain. The afternoon and evening will remain mostly cloudy with fog and isolated light precipitation.

Similar conditions are forecast for the southwest and the central-south regions, with cloudy to overcast skies, fog, and mist prevailing. Light and isolated precipitation is also expected in these areas during the afternoon and evening. The eastern region will experience cloudy and overcast conditions with fog and light rain, while Punta del Este will see cooler temperatures, with a maximum of 16°C, and Montevideo will experience a maximum of 19°C, both under cloudy skies with fog.

Looking ahead, Inumet anticipates a continuation of unstable weather patterns over the next few days. This includes predominantly overcast skies, the presence of fog and mist banks, and the likelihood of scattered rain and isolated thunderstorms. An increase in wind speed with gusts is also expected, suggesting that the unsettled weather is set to persist.
