Uruguayan scientist Gonzalo Moratorio has shared a personal update on his ongoing and arduous fight against a brain tumor. In a video posted on Instagram, Moratorio expressed his determination, stating, "I want to tell you that basically I continue to fight very arduously and very demanding the tumor that I am suffering from."

He encouraged others to maintain hope and emphasized the critical role of integrating science, technology, health, and increasingly, faith and trust in one's endeavors. Moratorio is currently undergoing immunotherapy and has completed radiotherapy. He is exploring an experimental treatment called CAR-T therapy, a form of immunotherapy where a patient's T-cells are genetically altered to specifically target and destroy malignant tumor cells.
