US adds 10 Nigerians to 'Worst of the Worst' deportation list for crimes

The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has identified 10 additional Nigerian nationals for deportation, placing them on the Department of Homeland Security’s “Worst of the Worst” register. These individuals are listed for a variety of offenses, including fraud, identity theft, child-related offenses, and drug-related crimes.

The updated list, published on the official DHS website, details the names of the individuals and the specific crimes associated with their arrests by ICE. The offenses include wire fraud, cruelty toward a child, dangerous drugs, sex offenses against a child, and conspiracy, among others. The register aims to highlight what the DHS describes as the "worst of worst criminal aliens" apprehended by ICE.

This latest update comes after a similar list published in July, which featured 124 Nigerians arrested by ICE and designated for deportation. While the July publication included names and photographs, it did not specify deportation dates. Similarly, the current update does not provide a timeline for the deportation of the 10 newly listed Nigerians, nor does it confirm if they have already been deported. The individuals named in this latest update were not part of the July list.

A DHS statement emphasized the agency's commitment to fulfilling President Trump's promise of mass deportations, starting with those deemed the most serious offenders. The inclusion on this list signifies that these individuals have been arrested by ICE and are associated with the listed criminal offenses.
