US Ambassador inaugurates innovation center in Baja California, boosting US-Mexico collaboration

Ronald Johnson, the U.S. Ambassador to Mexico, officially opened the CaliBaja Innovation Center at CETYS University, marking a significant expansion of American Spaces in Mexico. This new center is the first of its kind in the Baja California peninsula and the tenth in the country, building upon the network led by the Embassy's Benjamin Franklin Center.

Ambassador Johnson highlighted the strategic importance of the CaliBaja region, describing it as a major hub for innovation, technology, and cross-border collaboration in North America. He emphasized that the center's establishment reflects the "spirit of innovation and ingenuity" that has historically driven the United States, especially as the nation commemorates its 250th anniversary of independence. The initiative aims to create new avenues for learning, entrepreneurship, and English language instruction.
