US conducts 11th night of airstrikes on Iran targets

The United States military has intensified its campaign against Iran, launching airstrikes on military targets for the eleventh night in a row. The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed the operations, stating they were designed to weaken Iran's capacity to threaten commercial shipping in the vital Strait of Hormuz.

According to CENTCOM's statement on platform X, the strikes commenced at 11 p.m. GMT and concluded by 12:15 a.m. GMT on Wednesday. U.S. military assets reportedly targeted Iranian military operations centers, maritime capabilities, drone storage facilities, and other military logistics infrastructure.

CENTCOM highlighted that Iran has attacked more than 30 commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz over the past three months. The command condemned these "unprovoked attacks" for endangering hundreds of innocent sailors and disrupting freedom of navigation. The U.S. military also noted its efforts to facilitate the passage of approximately 900 ships through the Strait since early May, enabling the transport of around 450 million barrels of crude oil.
