US envoys Bannon, Kushner expected in Ukraine late August

U.S. special envoys Steve Bannon and Jared Kushner are anticipated to visit Kyiv in late August, coinciding with Ukraine's Independence Day celebrations on August 24.

The visit is reportedly being coordinated following a meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on August 28. Olena Stefanishyna, Ukraine's ambassador to the U.S., confirmed that discussions for the envoys' trip to Kyiv are underway, though specific dates have not yet been finalized.
