US forces continue "wave of strikes" against Iran for sixth consecutive night

U.S. forces launched a fresh wave of airstrikes against Iran on Thursday, marking the sixth consecutive night of operations. The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) stated the attacks are intended to further degrade Iran's military capabilities, which it claims threaten commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

These included command centers, air defense systems, missile and drone capabilities, and coastal surveillance facilities, particularly in Bandar Abbas, a key Iranian port city.

Iranian state media outlet IRIB reported multiple explosions in southern Iran, describing them as continued American aggression. The report indicated seven people were injured in an attack on a residential neighborhood in Bandar Abbas, with rescue and medical personnel placed on high alert. Additional explosions were also reported on Qeshm Island.
