US forces launch 13th consecutive night of strikes on Iran: CENTCOM

The United States Central Command announced on Thursday that U.S. forces carried out another night of strikes against Iranian military targets. This marks the 13th consecutive night of U.S. action against Iran, aimed at holding the country accountable and reducing threats from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to commercial shipping.

CENTCOM also reported that since resuming naval blockades nine days prior, it has redirected 12 commercial vessels and disabled one to prevent ships from entering or leaving Iranian ports. These recent strikes follow statements by former President Trump on Truth Social, where he declared that any damages to ships or cargo would be paid for by Iranian funds controlled by Washington, calling it a "fair and equitable" measure.

Earlier on Thursday, Trump reiterated his stance that Iran must not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons. He stated that the U.S. is performing "extremely well" in the ongoing conflict with Iran, asserting that Iran is not yet ready to pursue nuclear capabilities and possesses "evil intentions." Trump emphasized that this action should have been taken by previous administrations or other countries, but he is committed to preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
