US influencer who exposed husband as pedophile killed by him

A popular American TikTok influencer, Sarah Gilsun, known for her over 30,000 followers, was killed by her husband, Jeremiah Duffy, on July 24. The incident occurred despite a court-issued restraining order against Duffy, aimed at protecting Gilsun.

Duffy had been accused of inappropriately touching a teenage student at a youth basketball event in early July. Investigations revealed he had a history of similar behavior with the student. He fled but was later identified by police. Gilsun was informed of the accusations against her husband and promptly sought an emergency restraining order, which was granted.

Less than a month later, on July 11, Gilsun posted a TikTok video calling her husband a "pedophile" and expressing a wish that it were a joke. Tragically, 13 days after this video, Duffy shot and killed Gilsun. Police responded to a 911 call reporting the shooting, believed to be made by Gilsun's son. Both Gilsun and Duffy were found dead at the scene from apparent gunshot wounds. Authorities suspect Duffy killed Gilsun before taking his own life.
