US issues ultimatum to Iran, threatens to destroy nuclear site

President Donald Trump has escalated his rhetoric against Iran, threatening to destroy its nuclear facilities if Tehran does not agree to a deal. Trump specifically warned that American forces would target the underground nuclear site known as Pickaxe Mountain, along with bridges and power plants, should negotiations fail.

Israeli intelligence services believe Iran has moved thousands of uranium enrichment centrifuges into deep mountain tunnels, raising concerns about a potential resumption of its nuclear program. Israel has informed the U.S. that these centrifuges were relocated to a facility under Kolang Mountain, referred to by Americans as "Pickaxe Mountain." Trump acknowledged his awareness of the situation at Pickaxe, stating, "I know exactly what's going on at Pickaxe. It's not a big problem. We took out their nuclear sites, and we'll have to take out Pickaxe if we don't make a deal."

Furthermore, Trump asserted U.S. control over the Strait of Hormuz, stating, "We are maintaining a blockade there, and only those ships we allow are passing. Iran does not control the strait; we control it." He acknowledged that Iran could potentially deploy mines to cause disruption but reiterated that ultimate control rests with the United States. U.S. Central Command reported that its forces have rerouted 17 merchant ships and immobilized two others as part of the blockade on Iranian ports, which was reinstated on July 14.
