Meanwhile, sirens and reports of explosions were heard in Kuwait and Bahrain, US allies in the Persian Gulf, following the new US strikes. The Kuwaiti army stated its air defenses were activated due to drone attacks. Both nations have been targets of Iranian retaliatory strikes in past conflicts. Kuwaiti forces reported intercepting four cruise missiles and 21 drones earlier on Wednesday that had entered its airspace.
