The Pentagon has issued a strong call to the U.S. defense industry, urging a swift increase in the production and delivery of weapons. This directive, reported by The Washington Post and CNN, comes at a time when experts and media reports have highlighted concerns over shrinking U.S. military weapon reserves, a situation reportedly intensified by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

According to the reports, Deputy U.S. Defense Secretary Steve Feinberg conveyed a strict deadline of three weeks to industry representatives. They are required to submit plans outlining faster delivery schedules and/or enhanced production for critical military capabilities. The document cited in the reports indicates a clear expectation from Feinberg: "Years-long development cycles are not acceptable." He emphasized the need to drastically accelerate plans and expand production capacities immediately.

Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell confirmed the authenticity of the document to the German Press Agency. Parnell stated that since the beginning of Secretary Pete Hegseth's tenure, the Pentagon has focused on transforming the speed, capacity, and striking power of the American defense industry.
