US Revokes Visa of Former Mexican President's Son; Mexico Cites Political Interference

The United States has revoked the visa of Andrés Manuel López Beltrán, the son of Mexico's former left-wing president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, effectively barring him from entering the U.S. López Beltrán, who is politically active himself, announced the decision on social media.

In an open letter addressed to U.S. President Donald Trump, López Beltrán voiced strong accusations against U.S. officials, whom he likened to "gang bosses." He argued that there was no justification for such "arrogant behavior" and suggested the decision was driven by political and propaganda motives, specifically naming U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio as involved.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum publicly stated her belief that the visa revocations are politically motivated attempts by the U.S. government to interfere in Mexico's internal affairs.
