USTHB hosts Secretary-General of Silk Road Universities Network

The Secretary-General of the Silk Road Universities Network (SUN), Hwang Sung-Don, visited the University of Science and Technology Houari Boumediene (USTHB) in Algiers for a working and coordination meeting. The visit, which took place on Tuesday, was attended by USTHB Rector Djamal Eddine Akretche, university staff, and Harik Hakim, president of the National Commission for the Promotion and Classification of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The primary objective of the visit was to foster an exchange of views and discuss organizational aspects related to the preparation of the SUN network's General Assembly. This significant assembly is slated to be held in Algeria during November.

The Silk Road Universities Network aims to promote collaboration and exchange among universities situated along the historical Silk Road routes, fostering academic and cultural ties. The meeting at USTHB underscored the importance of Algeria's role in hosting this international gathering and highlighted the ongoing efforts to ensure its successful organization.
