Uzbekistan president to make official visit to Serbia

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to Serbia on September 7-8 at the invitation of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.

The two leaders are scheduled to hold talks in Belgrade and attend a business forum with government and business representatives from both countries. Their discussions are expected to focus on strengthening bilateral partnership and expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation.

The agenda includes joint projects in transport, mechanical engineering, light industry, food processing, agriculture, pharmaceuticals and information technology. The sides will also discuss organized labor migration and broader interregional, cultural and humanitarian ties.

The talks are expected to lead to the adoption of a package of intergovernmental and interagency agreements. Vučić visited Uzbekistan in October 2025, when he also attended the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference in Samarkand.
