Uzodimma rates Tinubu 100%, says administration saved Nigeria from collapse

Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has awarded President Bola Tinubu's administration a perfect 100% score for performance, declaring him the "founder of the new Nigeria" who has successfully steered the nation away from collapse. Uzodimma, who also chairs the Progressive Governors Forum, made these remarks during a high-profile Sallah visit by state governors, led by Vice President Kashim Shettima, to Tinubu's private residence in Lagos.

In a video shared from the visit, Uzodimma praised Tinubu's "innovative approach" to governance, asserting that the reforms enacted over the past three years have established a foundation for national stability. "You have virtually recovered Nigeria from the road of collapse to that of stability and survival," Uzodimma told the President, expressing gratitude on behalf of the governors. "We have assessed your performance, and Mr President, I’m happy to announce that we have scored your performance 100%,” he declared.

Uzodimma further lauded Tinubu's leadership, thanking him for his "genius," fatherly role, timely interventions, and vision for the country. The governors pledged their loyalty and commitment to defending the federal government's economic agenda across their states. "We want to inform you Mr. President that we are proud to be your ambassadors at the subnational level and we are here to defend your policies, to preach your message, and to let Nigerians know that we have come out from darkness and then the right light is now ready to shine. You brought us hope, and we believe in you,” Uzodimma stated.

This strong endorsement contrasts with a recent assessment by Defence Minister Christopher Musa, who reportedly gave the Tinubu administration a 65 to 70 percent score for its security performance. Musa noted a significant reduction in terrorism to isolated kidnapping incidents, though widespread school abductions remain a major challenge.
