V-League 2026-27 opening-round schedule: Ho Chi Minh City Police face Hanoi

The opening round of the 2026-27 V-League will center on the meeting between Ho Chi Minh City Police and Hanoi, scheduled for 6 p.m. on Sept. 5.

The first match of the season takes place a day earlier, when Dong Nai City host The Cong-Viettel at 6 p.m. The game will be broadcast on FPT Play and HTV Sports. The heavily invested The Cong-Viettel will face one of the league’s newcomers in a match that has attracted considerable anticipation.

Three matches are set for Sept. 5. Alongside Ho Chi Minh City Police against Hanoi, Hai Phong will play Ninh Binh at the same time. Hanoi Police will then meet Hong Linh Ha Tinh at 7:15 p.m., with coverage on FPT Play and VTV6.

The remaining fixtures on Sept. 6 are Thanh Hoa against SHB Da Nang at 5 p.m., Thep Xanh Nam Dinh against Hoang Anh Gia Lai at 6 p.m., and Song Lam Nghe An against Bac Ninh at 6 p.m. FPT Play will broadcast all three games. Attention will focus on title contenders such as Hanoi Police, The Cong-Viettel and Nam Dinh, while Dong Nai City and Bac Ninh will make their first impressions as newcomers.
