Vaidas Baumila Fires Up Vilnius Crowd Despite Autumn Rain

Rain fell over Vilnius, but it did not stop Vaidas Baumila from giving summer a loud farewell. The Lithuanian pop singer returned to the Lukiškės Prison 2.0 venue for a major outdoor concert on Sept. 4.

Baumila had performed at the unusual Vilnius location the previous year, when the event became one of the season’s memorable concerts. This time, he chose to continue that story with the biggest concert of his warm-weather season and to close the summer performance schedule there.

The venue itself formed part of the concert’s visual setting. Baumila and his band performed his best-known songs, drawing the crowd into dancing from the opening numbers. The evening kept a distinctly summery mood despite the cloudy sky and rain.

Before the show, Baumila had reassured fans that the concert would not be canceled. The weather became only a small part of the evening, while the energy on stage remained high.
