Valencia CF to launch new academy in Mexico City

Valencia CF is set to expand its international footprint by opening a new VCF Academy in Mexico City this September. This marks a significant step in the club's strategy to foster football talent within Mexico, a country with which Valencia has cultivated a strong relationship in recent years.

The new academy in the capital will complement the existing VCF Academy in Morelia, which began operations last year. Alejandra Maffey, director of VCF Academy Mexico, expressed enthusiasm for the growth, stating, "We are very happy because on September 1st we open our new Academy in Mexico City, and that same day we start with the second year in the Morelia Academy. We are sure that this will be the growth we have been waiting for in Mexico until we paint the entire Republic Orange."

Valencia CF, currently competing in Spain's top football league, LaLiga EA Sports, has experienced what Maffey described as "exponential" growth in its Mexican projects. The club initiated its presence in Mexico with a VCF Camp in León in March 2024, which has since multiplied across various locations. The establishment of permanent academies in Morelia and now Mexico City, located in Terranova, underscores the club's dedication to nurturing young players and deepening its connection with Mexican football culture.
