Valencia Sells Defender Cenk Özkacar to Turkish Club Trabzonspor

Valencia has finalized a deal to transfer Turkish center-back Cenk Özkacar to Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor, the Spanish club announced Saturday. Özkacar's tenure at Valencia, which began in the 2022-2023 season, concludes after he made 46 official appearances for the team.

Özkacar initially arrived at Mestalla on loan from Olympique de Lyon. During his first season, he participated in 21 matches across LaLiga, the Copa del Rey, and the Supercopa de España. Valencia later exercised its option to purchase him permanently, signing him to a contract extending until 2028. In the 2023-2024 season, he played 23 league games and two Copa del Rey matches.

Valencia CF has reached an agreement with Trabzonspor for the transfer of the player Cenk Özkacar.

Following his time at Valencia, Özkacar was loaned out for two subsequent seasons, first to Real Valladolid (2024-2025) and most recently to German Bundesliga side FC Köln. He had not been part of manager Carlos Corberán's plans and did not travel with the team for their training camp in Girona, as he sought an exit from the club's training facilities. Özkacar departs Valencia despite his contract running until 2028, signing with the Turkish club, which has not disclosed the length of his new contract. Valencia expressed gratitude for Özkacar's professionalism and wished him success in his future career.
