Valérie Glatigny seeks to restart dialogue amid inevitable protests

Valérie Glatigny, the Minister of Education, is seeking to relaunch dialogue concerning the education sector, acknowledging that protests are an expected part of the process. She has extended a renewed invitation for discussions, following an earlier unsuccessful attempt before the summer holidays.

"I had sent an invitation before the holidays, which did not yield positive results. We are relaunching it for September 1st, with the proposal of a new advisory committee to foster more dialogue," Glatigny stated on the first day of the school year.

The new school year begins amidst ongoing discontent among educators. Teacher unions have responded by issuing a pre-strike notice, valid until September 27th. This notice is intended to encompass any actions that may arise from the base level of the teaching staff.
