Valjevo seeks partner for public transport concession worth 3 billion dinars

The city of Valjevo is actively searching for a private partner to manage its public transportation system, initiating a tender for a concession valued at approximately 3 billion dinars (without VAT).

This move follows the mutual termination of the previous public transport concession agreement with 'Lasta' in April. The new tender, published on the Public Procurement Portal in both Serbian and English, outlines services for 12 urban and 11 suburban bus lines. The contract is set to run for 10 years, covering an estimated 1.197 million kilometers annually.

While the tender is publicly accessible, potential bidders must visit the city administration offices to acquire detailed technical specifications and project insights. The city is seeking a partner to operate the lines, which include a projected 711,294 kilometers for urban routes and 486,028 kilometers for suburban routes each year. The deadline for submitting bids is October 5, 2026.
