Vance: All tools will be deployed in Iran talks

U.S. Vice President JD Vance has declared that Washington will utilize all available instruments – military, economic, and diplomatic – to achieve a resolution in its ongoing tensions with Iran. Speaking on Fox News, Vance characterized the Iranian people as "tough" and the government as possessing a "complex structure," with internal factions advocating for both continued conflict and its cessation. He emphasized that the U.S. objective is to conclude the current standoff in a manner that serves American interests and firmly stated that Iran will not be permitted to acquire nuclear weapons. Vance acknowledged that the process will be protracted but reiterated the commitment to employing all necessary means to reach a desired outcome. The Vice President also addressed recent reports of tension during his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington. He refuted these claims, describing the discussion as having taken place in a "frank atmosphere." Vance underscored the strong alliance between the U.S. and Israel, while also acknowledging that disagreements can arise between close allies, asserting that such issues are addressed directly. This comes amid reports, including one from Axios, suggesting Netanyahu was displeased with Vance's public criticisms of Israel and raised the matter during their private meeting. Vance himself has recently drawn attention for critical statements regarding Israel. In July, he alleged that individuals close to the Israeli government targeted him for supporting negotiations with Iran, and he claimed some Israeli officials opposed a potential U.S.-Iran deal.
