Vandals release rabbits from primary school in Asse

Vandals caused damage at the municipal primary school in Krokegem, near Asse, Belgium, during the summer break. The perpetrators released the school's two pet rabbits from their hutch, created a hole in the playground fence, and broke a sand timer attached to a swing.

One of the teachers responsible for the school's animals during the holidays discovered the open rabbit hutch. Fortunately, the rabbits were found unharmed on the playground. However, the extent of the vandalism became apparent with the discovery of the damaged fence and the broken sand timer.

The school has reported the incident to the police and is collaborating with authorities and the municipality to implement additional security measures. The school is also appealing to the public to report any suspicious activities they may have observed.

The police are currently investigating the case to identify those responsible for the damage.
