The incident occurred Saturday evening when Barboni allegedly punched Michael Habeeb Jousif, an Iraqi immigrant, after a dispute over traffic obstruction. Barboni subsequently posted a video of the assault on social media. Vannacci's statement came a day after the incident, following speculation about his potential support for Barboni's actions, with the entrepreneur being referred to as "Briatore 3.0."
