Vannacci's beach kit: bucket, spade, and water pistol as political symbols

Roberto Vannacci, the leader of the Futuro Nazionale movement, has unveiled what he terms an "ideal summer kit" during a beachside event in Lido di Camaiore, Tuscany. The kit, presented from a gazebo set up on the sand, includes a bucket and spade, and a water pistol, each carrying a distinct political message.

The bucket and spade are intended to evoke "games of the past," symbolizing Vannacci's call to preserve and defend traditions that he believes remain relevant today. Complementing this nostalgic theme, the water pistol is presented as a metaphorical weapon. "Just as we build our homes, our businesses, our shops, we must also defend them from those who want to take them away," Vannacci explained.

Vannacci, who spent nearly two hours interacting with the public, shaking hands, and taking selfies, articulated that his metaphorical targets are those he perceives as threats to Italian economic and cultural identity. "I think of international finance, of multinationals, of those who no longer have a sense of Italian identity," he stated.

The event also featured regional councilor Massimiliano Simoni and Annamaria Frigo, the national membership manager for Futuro Nazionale, who were present alongside Vannacci. The scene, set against the backdrop of a beach, was described as carrying a distinctly political message, with Vannacci using the symbolic items to convey his party's platform.
