Varaždin responds to Torcida's 'shameful behavior' with photos of damaged stadium seats

Varaždin officials responded forcefully to criticism regarding ticket prices and alleged "non-existent disturbances" after their team's 1-2 defeat to Hajduk Split. The club shared photos of a damaged away fan section, attributing the destruction to Hajduk's Torcida fan group.

Following the match, which marked the start of the new SuperSport HNL season, Hajduk players greeted their fans. Shortly after, numerous seats in the Torcida section behind the goal were set ablaze, creating visible smoke and fire. This act concluded Hajduk's visit to Varaždin.

Varaždin stated on social media that despite lowering ticket prices for away fans to "calm tensions," the club's property was destroyed. "Gentlemen, the answer to the question of what forms the basis for ticket prices, as well as the claim of 'non-existent disturbances,' lies in these photographs," the club declared, highlighting the material damage amounting to thousands of euros.
