Various organizations sign MOUs, Stray Kids' Changbin donates to hospital

Hana Financial Group has joined forces with the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs to enhance national cemeteries across South Korea. The collaboration, marked by an MOU signed on August 10th, aims to refurbish aging gravestones at the National Seoul Cemetery and create a safer environment for visitors and bereaved families, honoring national merit.

In academia, Sungkyul University has inked agreements with three companies, Retitude, Kairos Global, and TetraGen, to foster industry-academia cooperation and bolster global exchange. Meanwhile, Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization are rolling out new local tourism initiatives. Starting in August, programs will be available in Gwangmyeong and Hanam, including an immersive experience at Gwangmyeong Cave titled 'Gwangmyeong Deep: Awakening 100 Years in the Depths of the Cave,' and a nature-focused program in Hanam centered on companion trees.

Further strengthening societal support systems, the Korea University Medical Center has partnered with the Korea Life Saving Hope Foundation. Their MOU focuses on suicide prevention and promoting a culture of life respect, with plans for joint social contribution activities including youth mental health education and crisis intervention.

The Ministry of Justice's Correctional Service has also entered into a translation services agreement with the Korean Association for Verification and the Korean Hanja Education Research Institute. This collaboration will focus on translating national archives, specifically to compile a more accurate list of correctional officers who died in the line of duty during the Korean War.

In a heartwarming act of generosity, Bang Chan, a member of the K-pop group Stray Kids, donated 100 million KRW (approximately $72,000 USD) to Samsung Seoul Hospital on his birthday, August 11th. The funds are designated to support pediatric patients and their families.
