Veikkausliiga: FC Inter signs Jaro's star Sjögrell in last-minute deal; Jaro calls it 'ungentlemanly'

FC Inter, a contender for the Veikkausliiga title, has secured the signing of Herman Sjögrell, a key winger for FF Jaro, in a last-minute transfer.

Sjögrell, 25, has been a standout player for Jaro this season, scoring seven goals in 21 league matches and leading the team in scoring. Inter activated a release clause in his contract on Monday evening, mere hours before the domestic transfer window closed.

Jaro voiced strong disappointment with the move, describing FC Inter's approach as "ungentlemanly." Jaro currently sits second to last in the Veikkausliiga standings, facing a direct relegation and a playoff match. Inter is also reportedly close to signing another notable player, national team defender Robert Ivanov.
