Venezuelan Jessica Jacinto wins gold at Pan American Artistic Skating Championship in Argentina

Venezuelan athlete Jessica Jacinto, 26, has clinched the gold medal in the novice category at the Pan American Artistic Skating Championship held in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This victory adds another significant achievement to her competitive record.

Jacinto, who has Down Syndrome, acknowledged the logistical challenge posed by the international competition's rink size. She typically trains on a much smaller surface at the Patinaje Artístico HGV school.

"Although the rink is four times larger than where I train, I will try to give my best to represent Venezuela and my school Patinaje Artístico HGV," Jacinto stated on her Instagram account prior to the competition.

Beyond her athletic pursuits, Jacinto has a background as a professional model, having led advertising campaigns for various clothing designers. She continues to pursue international modeling opportunities. Her athletic preparation also includes regular training in gymnastics, swimming, and athletics, which have enhanced her motor skills for high-level competitive skating.
