Verstappen takes second in Hungary as Red Bull drivers score heavily before F1 summer break

Max Verstappen secured a second-place finish at the F1 Hungarian Grand Prix, the last race before the sport's summer break. The reigning four-time world champion started fourth and navigated a competitive field to climb to the podium.

Verstappen, driving for Oracle Red Bull Racing, made a strong start, moving up to third place on the opening lap. After a pit stop, he briefly fell behind Lewis Hamilton but executed a crucial overtake on lap 16 to reclaim his position.

His teammate, 21-year-old Isack Hadjar, also had a solid performance, improving from eighth to sixth place. This marked Hadjar's seventh consecutive top-six finish.

Further strengthening the Red Bull team's performance, Visa Cash App Racing Bulls drivers Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad completed the team's success. Lawson advanced from outside the top ten to finish eighth, while rookie Lindblad secured the final points position in tenth. All four Red Bull-affiliated drivers finished within the points, giving the team a strong showing heading into the summer break.

The Formula 1 season will resume on August 23 with the Dutch Grand Prix.
