Hong Kong veteran actor Patrick Tse, aged 89, has reportedly passed away following a decline in his health, which led to him being admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU). Tse had been holding on, reportedly with the willpower to wait for his son, Nicholas Tse, to return to Hong Kong from work in mainland China. The father and son were able to share a final meeting, leaving no regrets.

According to Hong Kong media reports, Nicholas Tse immediately put his work aside upon learning of his father's critical condition and rushed back to Hong Kong. He arrived on July 18 and went straight to the hospital to be with his father during his final moments. Following Patrick Tse's passing, his family has begun making arrangements for the funeral, with the body handed over to a funeral service provider.

Despite his grief, Nicholas Tse has decided to honor his father's lifelong encouragement to "The show must go on." He plans to proceed with his scheduled concert tour in Qingdao as planned before returning to Hong Kong to handle his father's funeral arrangements. This decision reflects his commitment to his work and serves as a tribute to his father.
