VGT files new complaint against fattening farm in St. Pölten district

The animal welfare organization VGT has once again filed a complaint against a fattening farm in the St. Pölten district, citing alleged observations of starving animals and mistreatment. The activists are demanding an immediate inspection by authorities and the permanent closure of the facility, which they have labeled a "scandalous operation."

In response to the VGT's allegations, the district authority in St. Pölten stated that the farm was last inspected on August 12. During that inspection, the authority ordered the "immediate rectification of identified deficiencies." The authority also indicated that administrative penalty proceedings have been initiated.

FPÖ regional councilor Rosenkranz echoed the VGT's concerns, stating that the operation should be closed immediately. The VGT's repeated complaints highlight ongoing concerns about animal welfare practices at the farm.
