Viborg secures third consecutive Superliga win, defeating AC Horsens 3-2

Viborg FF is currently in excellent form in the Superliga, securing their third consecutive win by defeating promoted team AC Horsens 3-2 on Friday. The victory keeps Viborg level on points with Brøndby IF at the top of the league table, though Brøndby has an opportunity to pull ahead in their upcoming match.

The game in Horsens was a lively and closely contested match, featuring multiple well-taken goals. Viborg started strongly, creating the first significant chances of the evening. Goalkeeper Matej Delac of Horsens made crucial saves to deny Srdjan Kuzmic and Sami Jalal Karchoud from close range.

Despite Delac's efforts, Viborg took the lead in the 30th minute. Charly Nouck delivered a precise cross from the left, which Dorian Junior headed into the net. The goal was contentious, as Horsens players protested the referee's decision to momentarily send Jimi Tauriainen off the field for taking too long to return after a free-kick. Viborg capitalized on the numerical advantage to score.

Nouck then extended Viborg's lead just before halftime with a well-placed shot from the left flank, making it 2-0. However, AC Horsens fought back in the second half. Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan pulled one back early in the second half from a set piece, and later, Ivan Milicevic scored a spectacular long-range goal in the 70th minute to equalize the score at 2-2.

Viborg, however, responded quickly. Asker Beck scored from a rebound just eight minutes later, restoring Viborg's lead and ultimately securing the 3-2 victory. AC Horsens remains with seven points after six rounds of play.
