Vice President Villarruel Attends Expo Venado, Criticizes Government on Unemployment

Vice President Victoria Villarruel attended the 90th Expo Venado in Santa Fe, where she appeared alongside Leonel Chiarella, the president of the Radical Civic Union (UCR) and mayor of Venado Tuerto. During the event, Villarruel voiced criticism of the national government, expressing deep concern over the high rate of unemployment and the struggles of Argentines to afford basic necessities.

"I am extremely worried about Argentines who today do not have work or cannot make ends meet," Villarruel stated. She emphasized that the most critical task facing the nation is fostering "national unity." She added, "It is fundamental to think about national unity without analyzing candidacies or political parties, but about the future. In Argentina, with our potential, it should be a good, successful future, and yet today it has many complexities."

Villarruel praised Expo Venado as a representation of the "best" of Argentina, highlighting its demonstration that "without work there is no family and without family there is no production." She observed that the efforts, innovation, and technology of the families in Venado Tuerto contribute to the success of the city and the broader region and nation.

Regarding the possibility of eliminating export taxes, Villarruel clarified that while no specific bill is currently in Congress, the future should ideally be without such taxes. Chiarella thanked Villarruel for her participation, and Santa Fe Minister of Productive Development Gustavo Puccini also highlighted the vice president's visit as significant for the region's productive spirit.
