Alabama sheriff's deputies and police officers engaged in a foot pursuit across a highway to wrangle a 1,500-pound runaway bull in Pickens County. Video footage shows the bull initially walking calmly through a suburban neighborhood. Additional footage depicts three authorities on horseback attempting to lasso the animal. The bull evaded capture as the ropes approached. The Pickens County Sheriff's Office reported that after "a few slips and falls," the "oversized escape artist" was safely back in custody without any injuries. Following the successful containment of the bull, the deputies humorously remarked that they were better suited for "patrolling the county" than for a career on the "rodeo circuit."
