Video shows inside of TezJet plane after airport incident

Video footage has surfaced from inside a TezJet aircraft that was involved in an aviation incident at Kyrgyzstan's Manas International Airport on July 7. The footage captures the moments after the plane came to a halt on the runway, showing passengers evacuating via emergency slides.

Despite the alarming situation, passengers in the video appear to maintain a sense of order. While visibly concerned, they proceed with the evacuation calmly. The incident occurred when the aircraft reportedly experienced problems with its landing gear, forcing it to stop on the runway.

This incident led to the temporary suspension of operations at Manas International Airport. Airport authorities stated that the runway would remain closed until 10:00 PM local time. Initial reports indicate that some passengers sustained minor injuries, including bruises and cuts, during the evacuation. Medical and fire services were on site to provide assistance.

The McDonnell Douglas MD-83 aircraft involved is noted as the last series-produced model of the MD-80 family. The Kyrgyz Civil Aviation Agency has announced it will conduct an investigation into the incident to determine the exact cause.
