Vietnam Air Defense Division 375 Honors Tuoi Tre Newspaper for Coverage

The Air Defense Division 375 of Vietnam's Air Defense-Air Force has recognized the Tuoi Tre newspaper for its significant contributions to publicizing the unit's training, missions, and community assistance. During a meeting on June 16, marking Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, Major General Nguyen Minh Duc, the division's political commissar, expressed gratitude for the newspaper's role in enhancing the image of the air defense soldiers.

"Tuoi Tre newspaper is one of three media agencies that have contributed the most in terms of articles and propaganda about the training, missions, and assistance to the people provided by the soldiers of Air Defense Division 375," Duc stated at a radar station on Son Tra mountain in Da Nang. He emphasized the importance of media propaganda, alongside military training, in consolidating public support and refuting harmful information, thereby strengthening the "Uncle Ho's soldier" image.

The division, which operates across five provinces from Quang Tri to Gia Lai, faces demanding duties. To bridge the gap between the military and the public, Division 375 has actively collaborated with media outlets. Political officers within the division are tasked with assisting reporters in widely disseminating information about the unit's activities.

Acknowledging Tuoi Tre's influence and reporting, Major General Duc presented a certificate of merit to journalist Thai Ba Dung, who covers national defense and security for the newspaper's Central-South Central region office. This award signifies the division's appreciation for the newspaper's dedicated coverage.
