Vietnam Deputy PM tasks finance ministry with drafting special policies for Dong Nai City development

Vietnam's Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra has directed the Ministry of Finance to spearhead the creation of a draft resolution for special mechanisms and policies to foster the development of Dong Nai City. This initiative follows a directive from the General Secretary and President at a meeting with the Standing Committee of the Dong Nai City Party Committee.

The proposed resolution is intended for submission to the National Assembly during its second session. Its primary goal is to establish unique policies that will accelerate Dong Nai City's growth. The Ministry of Finance will collaborate with the Dong Nai City People's Committee and other relevant ministries and agencies to draft this crucial legislation.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Finance, in conjunction with the Ministry of Construction, will investigate resource allocation for significant national projects. This includes the second phase of Long Thanh International Airport, the Bien Hoa-Vung Tau railway, urban railway lines, and transportation infrastructure connecting the airport and the region. A response to the local authorities is expected by June 10.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has been tasked with reviewing and adjusting bauxite mining areas to balance economic development with environmental considerations. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will also address concerns regarding the management of the Cat Tien National Park area within Dong Nai City. Both ministries are required to report their findings to the Prime Minister by June 15.
