Vietnam's Fatherland Front to measure activities by citizen satisfaction

Bùi Thị Minh Hoài, a high-ranking official within Vietnam's political structure, has called for the Fatherland Front's entire system to focus on grassroots engagement, using citizen satisfaction and trust as the primary metrics for evaluating its work. Hoài, who is a Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, and Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front, presided over the organization's first Central Committee meeting for the 2026-2031 term.

The meeting, held in Hanoi, focused on discussing and approving crucial operational guidelines and the work program for the Central Committee and its Presidium. Key topics included setting the direction for the Front's work in 2027 and reviewing its performance in the first half of 2026, with an outlook on tasks for the latter half of the year. Hoài highlighted 2026 as a pivotal year, marking the initial implementation phase of the 14th National Party Congress resolutions and the commencement of the new terms for the Fatherland Front and other socio-political organizations.

Amidst a complex and unpredictable global landscape, Vietnam has achieved significant progress in various socio-economic sectors, attributed to the Party's leadership, the government's decisive actions, and the people's consensus. Hoài specifically recognized the vital and positive contributions of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front, along with other socio-political organizations, to these national achievements. She noted that following the successful 11th National Congress of the Fatherland Front, efforts have been made to disseminate and implement its resolutions throughout the system, ensuring unified understanding and action from the outset of the new term.

Hoài stressed the importance of this first Presidium meeting in translating the congress's resolutions into concrete tasks. The organization is committed to organizing the "Great National Unity Festival" at the residential level and ensuring its activities are closely aligned with the needs and aspirations of the people. The emphasis is on strengthening the connection between the Front and the populace, ensuring that its efforts directly contribute to the well-being and trust of the citizens.
