Vietnamese Schools Offer Comprehensive Support for Graduation Exams

High schools in the rural and riverside areas of Can Tho, Vietnam, are stepping up to support 12th-grade students facing the upcoming 2026 national graduation exams. Initiatives range from free exam preparation classes to scholarships, complimentary meals, and transportation services.

The scholarships are the community's way of showing support for the students, giving them more motivation to overcome the exam.

Tan Loc Secondary and High School, located on an island in the Hau River, is offering scholarships and free meals to students taking the exams. Principal Tran Thanh Truong stated that the school has organized free extra tutoring sessions in math and literature since the beginning of the academic year. The school has also raised over 30 million Vietnamese dong through social contributions to provide packed lunches, drinks, and scholarships for students during the exam days. Teachers will assist students with transportation to the exam venues.

Vinh Thanh High School is also actively supporting students. Principal Do Thanh Thien reported that the school has raised over 13 million Vietnamese dong to provide effervescent tablets to 415 12th-grade students, aiming to boost their health during the intense study period. The school plans to offer around 50 packed lunches, drinks, and writing supplies to students in need during the exams. If demand increases, they will seek further resources. Additionally, the school is coordinating with local transport businesses to arrange shuttle services for students with special needs.

The preparation for the graduation exams for all 250 12th-grade students is completely free. The school has also mobilized social contributions of over 30 million dong to support packed lunches, drinks, and scholarships for students during the exam days. Teachers will accompany and assist them with transportation to the exam venues.

These efforts, including scholarships, free meals, and health supplements, demonstrate a community-wide commitment to helping students from rural backgrounds approach their final exams with greater confidence. The support aims to alleviate financial pressures on families, particularly those facing economic hardship or living far from exam centers.
