Vietnamese teen's motorcycle confiscated after 'wheelie' stunt filmed for social media

A stunt on a motorcycle in Vĩnh Long province, Vietnam, has resulted in consequences for an 18-year-old rider. The young man was filmed performing a "wheelie" – riding on only the back wheel – on Nguyễn Thiện Thành street in Hòa Thuận ward. His friend captured the dangerous maneuver on video, intending to post it on social media.

However, the footage quickly came to the attention of the Vĩnh Long provincial traffic police. Officers identified the motorcycle by its license plate, 84AC-094.11, and summoned the rider, identified as N.Q.H., for questioning. During the interview, H. confessed to performing the stunt around 8:30 PM on May 24th and admitting he asked his friend to film it.

Based on traffic regulations, the police issued a decision to confiscate the motorcycle and likely imposed a fine for the dangerous riding and filming. The incident highlights the authorities' efforts to curb reckless driving and the use of social media to promote dangerous stunts.
