Viking back on top after Austbø inspires win against Lillestrøm

Viking has returned to the summit of the Norwegian Eliteserien after securing a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Lillestrøm at Åråsen.

The decisive performance saw 21-year-old winger Edvin Austbø shine once again. After 31 minutes, Zlatko Tripic delivered a precise pass to Austbø, who executed a skillful dribble before sending in a perfect cross for Kristoffer Askildsen to head home, giving Viking a 1-0 lead. This victory underscores Austbø's resurgence following a spring season hampered by injuries. He was also the match-winner in the previous round with a spectacular goal against Sandefjord.
