Villa del Rosario health center receives its first ultrasound machine since opening

The health center in Villa del Rosario, located in the southern part of San Pedro, has received its first ultrasound machine since its establishment. The high-end medical equipment was a donation from the embassy of China (Taiwan).

The handover ceremony took place at the health center, attended by Taiwan's ambassador to Paraguay, Yvan Yueh Yung Lee, along with local, national, and departmental authorities, and representatives from educational institutions. The ultrasound device is now operational in a fully refurbished room, equipped with necessary amenities funded by the local municipality.

This is a very big achievement for the people of Villa del Rosario and surrounding localities, considering that from today onwards, patients will no longer need to travel to other hospitals to get their studies done, saving time and money at the same time.

Dr. Daniel Romero, director of the health center, highlighted the significance of this achievement for the residents of Villa del Rosario and surrounding areas. Previously, patients had to travel to other hospitals for ultrasound examinations, incurring additional costs and time. The new machine eliminates this necessity, providing a crucial service directly within the community.

Romero also acknowledged the efforts of various authorities whose work facilitated the donation from the Taiwanese embassy. Ambassador Lee reiterated his government's commitment to supporting Paraguay, particularly in healthcare and other sectors that aim to improve public services.
