Village Cooperative Leaders Confident in Driving Grassroots Economy

Leaders of the Merah Putih Village Cooperative (KDKMP) are optimistic that their organization can become a primary engine for grassroots economic development in Indonesia. This confidence was voiced during the 79th National Cooperative Day commemoration in Jakarta.

Dian, a KDKMP member from North Jakarta, highlighted the crucial role of government backing. She stated that President Prabowo Subianto's presence at the event was a positive signal, offering a significant boost to KDKMP and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) nationwide. "I think this event was quite impressive because we were attended by our leader, President Prabowo Subianto. I believe this will bring positive value to KDKMP and our cooperatives, MSMEs, to further advance MSMEs, the Merah Putih Cooperative, and its membership, so that cooperatives can progress further," Dian said.

She emphasized that government support is vital for increasing public participation in cooperatives and strengthening MSMEs, which form the backbone of the national economy. Dian also extended gratitude to President Prabowo and the Minister of Cooperatives for their commitment to empowering cooperatives and MSMEs.

He stressed the importance of unity and employee appreciation to enhance work spirit and collaboration. "Hopefully, on this 79th Cooperative anniversary, we can strengthen relationships, continue to enhance togetherness, and also provide appreciation to all employees while strengthening the spirit of work and collaboration of cooperatives in Indonesia," Husein stated. He believes that robust inter-regional collaboration is key to rapid economic growth.

Yani, a member from Karawang, West Java, views KDKMP as an effective tool for improving the welfare of its members and the wider village community. She supports the cooperative's focus on empowering people at the village level, seeing it as a fitting initiative. The cooperative's integrated concept aims to bring prosperity directly to villages.
