Villarrica Municipal Theater Reopens for Cultural and Artistic Events

The Municipal Theater of Villarrica has reopened its doors, signaling a revival of the city's cultural heart after years of closure. The venue is now available for a variety of cultural and artistic events, with a packed schedule planned through the end of the year.

The theater recently hosted the "Seven Fine Arts - Dance Edition" competition, a vibrant showcase of Paraguayan dance, classical ballet, and contemporary styles. This event highlighted the renewed energy and potential of the reopened theater.

Iván Acosta, the Municipal Secretary of Culture, confirmed that the theater is ready to welcome diverse activities, including concerts, competitions, and performances by international groups. To ensure the quality of programming, the municipality has set a rental fee of G. 2 million for cultural events. However, each application will be reviewed by a cultural council to ensure that the proposed activities align with the theater's mission to foster the city's cultural movement. The administration's goal is to establish the theater as a consistently active space for artists and the community.
