Vilnius cabaret Nijinsky III opens its sixth season with praise from Forbes journalist

Nijinsky III has returned to Vilnius after its summer break and creative camp with a new season built around music, dance, theater, drag culture, circus and performance. The cabaret’s sixth season opened with “The Insomnia Cabaret Show,” a production exploring the boundary between wakefulness, dreams and reality.

The stage features familiar performers including host Gytis IV, the stage name of actor Gytis Ivanauskas, as well as Bona Dawn, Luka Mokka, Miss Baby Doll and Violeta Daqueen. Portugal’s cabaret star Mau Oh joined the opening night as a special guest.

The new season has also attracted international attention. Stephan Rabimov, an award-winning American fashion writer and Forbes journalist who attended the cabaret, described Nijinsky III as a reflection of contemporary Lithuania. “Nijinsky III Theatre reflects the true essence of Lithuania today: brave, creative and deeply independent,” Rabimov said.

He called artistic director and director Deivydas Valenta “a true community builder,” saying Valenta brings together talented and distinctive performers who communicate ideas of tolerance and love through their work.

Nijinsky III is also presenting the third season of its Babble Dinner Club. The format combines gastronomy with theater, performance and interactive storytelling. Its new production, “Spoons After Lunch,” turns an ordinary spoon into the central object of the story, with its transformations becoming part of the drama and dinner guests joining the action. Drag culture performer Luka Mokka hosts the dinners, which also introduce a new character, “Fri Bulvytė,” with a costume created by designer Gintaras Rėpšas. Both seasons will continue in Vilnius until summer.
