Vilnius hosts free exhibition of iconic looks by famous Lithuanian designers

Vilnius has opened its doors to a free exhibition, "Iconic Looks," celebrating the work of prominent Lithuanian fashion designers. This event, a prelude to "Vilnius Fashion Week," is being held at the AC Hotel by Marriott Vilnius and will run until September 12.

The exhibition features signature designs from ten influential creators, including Agnė Kuzmickaitė, Kęstas Rimdžius, and Egidijus Rainys, whose pieces have become integral to Lithuania's fashion landscape. Hotel director Evelina Šukytė emphasized the hotel's commitment to supporting creativity, stating, "For us, fashion is not decoration, but the courage to see the world differently."

"Vilnius Fashion Week" ambassador Indrė Burlinskaitė and artist Lukas Svirplys were among the attendees at the opening. Elena Puidokaitė-Bruzgulienė, producer for "Vilnius Fashion Week" and "ELLE Lithuania," highlighted the event's role in fostering dialogue about contemporary Lithuanian fashion. "We want 'Vilnius Fashion Week' to be more than just a few days of fashion; we want to create a space for Lithuanian fashion, its creators, for meetings and conversations," she said.

The broader "Vilnius Fashion Week" is scheduled from August 28 to September 7, promising a week of events that will draw international fashion media, diplomats, and industry professionals. The organizers anticipate the presence of ELLE editors from various European countries, further cementing Vilnius's growing presence on the international fashion map.
