Vilnius primary school pupils can ride public transport all year for €10

For €10, Vilnius primary school pupils can travel without limits on the city’s public transport for an entire year. JUDU has introduced the special pass for children in grades one through four, offering families a simpler way to manage trips to school and extracurricular activities.

Families handle school travel in different ways. Some parents accompany their children while commuting to work, others drive them but cannot always collect them after lessons, and some younger pupils are beginning to learn familiar routes on their own.

JUDU says the pass can help children gradually develop independence. By using public transport, pupils learn to follow a route, recognize stops, manage their time, watch their surroundings, protect their belongings and pay attention to other passengers.

Our goal is to enable every primary school pupil to move freely around the city and offer families a genuinely practical and convenient solution.

Parents can buy the pass through the JUDU app, the self-service website, physical sales points or JUDU customer service centers. They can purchase an inactive pass through their own account and transfer it to a child by entering the child’s account email address.

The pass appears in the child’s account like a regular ticket and can be shown on a phone during inspection. Families can also load it onto a physical JUDU or Vilnietis card if the child does not have a phone. It becomes valid when activated in the app or on public transport and remains valid for 12 months.
