This surge occurred amidst a growing global motorcycle market in early 2026, where established players like Honda continue to lead, but manufacturers from China and India are steadily increasing their market share.

Data from MotorCyclesData, which tracks two-wheeler registrations in 98 markets, reveals a dynamic industry landscape. While Honda remains the dominant force, selling approximately 7.35 million units by the end of April 2026, a 13.2% increase year-on-year, the competition is intensifying. Hero MotoCorp of India ranks second with about 2 million units sold, followed by Yamaha in third with 1.7 million units.

The report highlights significant growth from Asian manufacturers, with TVS Motor reaching fourth place and China's Yadea, a major electric producer, securing fifth. Brands like Royal Enfield are showing notable recovery, with sales up nearly 20%, aligning with their global expansion plans.
